Moore Aquatic & Fitness Center is a community space focused on health and wellness. The facility consists of a 6-lane, 25-yard lap pool, kiddie pool, fitness room, and classroom. Our goal is to create a safe and fun environment for the residents in the Greater Washington area.

The Aurora Fossil Museum, founded in 1976, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) science education resource center. Our mission is to educate the public about paleontology in an engaging manner while emphasizing the natural and cultural history of Eastern North Carolina.
Goose Creek State Park, just of Pamlico Sound, covers over 1,600 acres. The park is a great place to enjoy a variety of watersports, including boating, swimming, and fishing. The park also has eight miles of hikng trails and a number of quiet, relaxing picnic spots.
North Carolina Estuarium is a one-of-a-kind environmental center with hundreds of exhibits, interactive displays, and historical artifacts. Set in the heart of a massive estuary, the estuarium also offers boat tours on the Pamlico River.
Located on the waterfront in Washington, Turnage Theater hosts movies, concerts, and local events throughout the year. The theater also has an interesting lobby with information about the theater's history and an occasional art exhibit.
